The book to kill a mockingbird was a very good book. I enjoyed the book very much. The figurative language, details, and setting were all outstanding. I enjoyed how descriptive it was. The entire book was based on racism and how it effected people in the 1930's. In the book there was a lot of figurative language. There was a great amount of foreshadowing in the novel. There was foreshadowing about the fire at Miss.Maudies house. There was also foreshadowing about Jem breaking his arm in the beginning of the novel. There was also foreshadowing about mad dog, and the snowman. The characters were also a big part of the novel. How they describe the characters in the novel is very good. They have a lot of details of how each of their personality's are. Jem and Scout have a lot of part in it too. They grew up throughout the whole book. One of the biggest events in the novel was when Tom was going through trial. This was very important and a big part in the book. Throughout the whole book there is growth from all of the characters. They all learned important lessons. They all went through the "sickness" which is the racism in the book. Jem grew up to be a good role model for Scout. Scout really likes to look up to Jem. Overall, the book was very good. I really enjoyed it and i felt like i really understood what was going on in the book. Everything in the novel was great!! I rate this 10/10
